Terms of Service

Welcome to Hot Dogs! By using our app you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Hot Dogs app you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hot Dogs. By using the app you represent that you meet this age requirement. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 will be terminated.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information about yourself and your dog(s).
• One account per person. Do not create accounts for dogs that are not yours.
• You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post photos or content that is not of your actual dog.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Use the app for any commercial purpose without our consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the app or its services.
• Post content that is illegal, obscene, or violates any third-party rights.

5. Objectionable Content and Abusive Behavior — Zero Tolerance

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. The following are strictly prohibited on Hot Dogs:

• Nudity, sexually explicit, or pornographic material.
• Graphic violence, gore, or depictions of animal cruelty or neglect.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or targeting any user.
• Content that is illegal, deceptive, or impersonates another person.
• Spam, scams, solicitation, or unauthorized commercial activity.
• Photos that are not of a real dog you own.

How we enforce this. Every uploaded photo is automatically screened before it becomes visible to other users, and photos that fail screening are rejected or held for human review. Any user can report a dog or a message from within the app, and reporting a user also blocks them immediately. You can block and unblock users at any time from Profile → Blocked Users.

What happens next. We review every report and act within 24 hours by removing the offending content, and by suspending or permanently terminating the accounts of users who post objectionable content or behave abusively. Accounts terminated for these reasons may not rejoin the service.

6. Content You Post

You retain ownership of photos and content you upload. By posting content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store and display it within the app for the purpose of operating the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, always available, or that matches will result in real-life dog friendships (though we hope they do 🐾).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hot Dogs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
